“I’m not wearing this body. I’m eating it.”
Once a cruel bully named Carl King, The Thousand gained twisted spider-powers after consuming the irradiated spider that bit Peter Parker. Rather than becoming a hero, King transformed into a colony of thousands of parasitic spiders sharing a single consciousness. He survives by hollowing out victims and wearing their bodies like grotesque disguises, abandoning ruined hosts whenever they cease to be useful.
