Watcher Datafile: Boomerang (MCU)

Boomerang serves as a classic villain against Spider-Man with his trick boomerangs. Though we don’t know EXACTLY how he’ll be in the film, if anything changes after we see the video, this post will be changed. This one is based on the datafile we’ve previously published, written by Felipe.

Power Sets

DEADLY AIM

Enhanced Reflexes d8, Superhuman Accuracy d10

SFX: What Goes Around. On a reaction against a ranged weapon or thrown-object attack, double Enhanced Reflexes. On a successful reaction, spend a d6 from the doom pool to inflict physical stress equal to the effect die.

SFX: Perfect Pitch. Step up or double Superhuman Accuracy for one action. Add a d6 to the doom pool or shut down Superhuman Accuracy until Fred takes an action to recover.

Limit: Human Target. When affected by complications involving disorientation, impaired vision, or an injured throwing arm, step up the complication to add a d6 to the doom pool.

TACTICAL BOOMERANG ARSENAL

Armored Flight Harness d6, Ballistic Armor d8, Trick Boomerangs d10

SFX: Specialized Payload. When creating a complication with Trick Boomerangs, add a d6 and step up the effect die. Complications may include Blinded, Electrocuted, Entangled, Explosive Charge, or Disarmed.

SFX: Ricochet Strike. Against multiple targets, add a d6 and keep an additional effect die for each additional target. Add a d6 to the doom pool for each additional effect die kept.

SFX: Returning Arc. When a pool containing Trick Boomerangs includes an opportunity, spend a d6 from the doom pool to reroll the entire pool.

SFX: Remote Detonation. Step back the highest die in the doom pool to create an Explosive Trap d8 scene distinction or inflict physical stress on everyone within a small area.

Limit: Gear. Shut down a Tactical Boomerang Arsenal power and step up the lowest die in the doom pool. Spend a d6 from the doom pool to recover the power.

Limit: Limited Ammunition. When Fred uses more than one Tactical Boomerang Arsenal SFX during the same action, add a d6 to the doom pool. If the doom pool already contains 2d12, shut down Trick Boomerangs until he retrieves or replaces his equipment.
