It’s 1950’s S.H.I.E.L.D. Week! This week kicks off the new Agent Carter TV series, so we decided to look at how different the 1950’s S.H.I.E.L.D. organization in the comics is from the TV show.
In Hickman’s S.H.I.E.L.D. series from a few years back, it was revealed that the organization had been around for millennia, and was known as the Brotherhood of the Shield. They were charged with defending the Earth against every threat, and counted among their number Sir Issac Newton, Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Galileo and many more. Agent Peggy Carter did not count herself among the Brotherhood, but she’ll be featured this week, because, well, she’s Peggy Carter, and is a badass.
I think I may have to look out for Hickmans Shield series you mentioned .
I amy also have to think about statting up Sir Isaac too
I started reading this series. Sadly, I never finished it. I love Hickman’s writing though. Very intelligent. I may need to find a trade of this one.
