Blessed Sunday, True Believers!
So, I don’t think I need to convince anyone that Disney’s latest movie, Big Hero Six, was really good. But if you want a review for Disney/Marvel’s CGI hero movie, you’ll need to go somewhere else!
Marvel Heroic Roleplaying has cursed me. Every time I go see a movie, I can’t help but think how I can translate the characters to a MHRPG format. It is a curse… but it is also a blessing.
While watching Big Hero Six, I saw the potential for some really great datafiles and role-playing opportunities at my table and yours.
I’m not a fan of the Big Hero Six comic book series. Admittedly, I didn’t know that much about the series before the movie was announced (other than the fact that the team was supposedly Japan’s answer to the Avengers). So, I can’t speak to how true these datafiles are to the comic book, but I think if you are a fan of the movie like I am, you’ll be pleased.
Below are the datafiles for the heroes of San Fransokyo!
Enjoy and excelsior!
PS – I had to get a little creative with the heroes’ names. Due to the ethnic diversity of these characters as opposed to their Japanese counterparts, I couldn’t go with their proper Marvel Universe names. So, I had to make up my own names for the characters, drawing from interviews, animator names, and voice actor names. So… There ya have it.
PSS – Thanks to Mark for putting these in the “official” Marvel Plot Points format!
Quick typo alert: Should be reckless, not wreckless.
Lol about data files with me esp watching marvel movies I’m mentally going through SFX,power sets, stunt dice etc.etc
Thank you very much I love these 😀
