When I got the assignment to do this Datafile, I thought “Piece of cake, I will just take Human Torch, change some small bits and done!” The job turned out to be not so simple.
Although not a major player on the 616 universe, Angelica Jones proved to be very complex and tridimensional. She has had some romantic relationships with other heroes, was briefly a villain, later became an Avenger and had some health issues regarding her powers.
She is also a cross-media character like Ms. Lion and Angent Coulson, since she originaly debuted in the cartoon Spiderman and his Amazing Friends fighting crime with the web-head himself and Iceman.
Enjoy!
Great Datafile! My daughter really enjoys Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends (hurray Netflix). So I’ve had some time to give this file some thought and I think you nailed it.
The only thing I think I would have liked to have seen different is the option to finally join the X-Men as an option at 10 XP.
Brian,
I thought of that option, but keeping only the refusing option seemed more fun. I you want i can custom that millestone for you.
The wording on Last Resort looks a little bad. Have you considered replacing “step up +2 your Physical and Emotional Stress” with “step up your Physical and Emotional Stress twice”?
Since you are stepping up AND doubling your power dice i don’t think it is too much. Also it’s heavly tied with a milestone path.
It’s a last resort, it’s not supposed to be used all the time!
Terrifc write-up. You always make your heroes very playable. This one will go into the unofficial pile to print and have on hand. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
I must confess that when i finished her i was eager to run her too!
Could we get this as a printer friendly datafile? I just noticed last night, that she was missing from my GenCon binder.
I’ll see what I can do.
