Reprint: Event: The Tape

Back in 2013 (wow, have we been around so long?!), Ryan Goodman published The Tape, a Hawkeye event. We’re republishing it now. You can, of course, play with any of the three hero datafiles presented this week. Enjoy, and have fun.

Below is a reprint of the original post and the event itself.

Okay. This looks bad.

Someone has stolen a tape. (Yes, S.H.I.E.L.D. still uses VHS tapes, apparently.) And this isn’t just any run-of-the-mill outdated recording medium. It shows something that could bring down the Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D., and maybe even the U.S. government. And now the President wants someone to get it back. Obviously.

This short, two-act Event is based on Matt Fraction and Javier Pulido’s Hawkeye #4-5, and is designed to be played over the course of one or two Marvel Heroic Roleplaying game sessions. Included in the Event are several Event Milestones, some Unlockables, and brand new Watcher Datafiles for villains like Madame Masque and the Crimson Cowl. It also includes ideas for how to adapt the Event for other heroes, in case no one feels like being Hawkguy.

Hey guys! This is my first official post here on Plot Points, though at least one of my datafiles (Hit Monkey) has been posted before. Unlike a lot of you guys, I’ve not been a comic fan my whole life, but actually just started getting into Marvel comics right before MHRP came out. But despite that, I’ve done a LOT of reading to catch up! Matt Fraction’s current ongoing Hawkeye is probably my hands-down favorite, though I have to say Kieron Gillen’s Young Avengers is right up there too. I hope you guys enjoy this little Event, and the other things I have coming down the pipeline in the next few weeks and months! (Of course, my day job is teaching for and helping run a study abroad program in Italy, so my schedule might delay some of that!)

Great. A request please. Could you put datafiles, from the Comics, from The Eternals, like Ikaris and Sersi? Is that we want to play games with characters of the same species and we have no idea how to make them or how to create the secondary characters ?.

Hello, how are you?. Are you going to resume the work of your website, please? I really miss your job in it and I am sure that I am not the only one who does it.

We’d love to! It’s really just a matter of time and manpower!

While we wait for you to continue updating your blog, I would like to ask you a question, please. What are the most common limits, according to you, for the Inhumans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe ?. I ask this because the Mutant limit exists in the game, for example, and I would like to know if there is a similar one.
