Announcing a New Event: Maximum Carnage!
I really started to get into comics in the early 1990s. Spider-Man was my gateway drug. Maximum Carnage is the first big event I remember reading, and it has a special place in my memory. When I first learned about MHRPG one of my immediate thoughts was: “I would love to see Maximum Carnage in this system. I hope they write it some day.” Then along came Plot Points. Now I’m in a position to make it happen myself.
The original story was a Spider-Man centric affair, which is obviously not ideal if your group doesn’t have someone playing Spider-Man. Our thought is that Carnage and “Family” are a big enough challenge to be relevant to any group of heroes, so our version will focus less on the Spidey/Carnage relationship. Also, the original story was 13 14 issues some of which did little to advance the story. So we will be trimming some of the fat to get the Event down to a more manageable length.
This will be our biggest Event to date here at Plot Points. Over the next few weeks we will be releasing Milestones, Datafiles, and Scenes in our usual method for Events. Which is to say: as we get them done, more or less.
I’m really excited for this event, and hopefully you will be too.

I had similar thoughts when I read the rules. Maximum Carnage was when I started my Spider-man collection, and holds a very special place for me.
I’ve been a big fan of the work plot points had put out, so I feel confident that you’ll do it justice.
