A Farewell to Stan Lee

As I’m sure you’ve now seen the news that Stan Lee has passed. We here at Plot Points are very sad to see him go. Stan Lee, alongside Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and many others, created the incredible worlds of Marvel that we love. As an American Jew, he fought alongside Jack Kirby to combat inequality and racism, and served as a moral compass for many.

He once tried to distance himself from comics, but realized that the joy comics brought to people, the stories he could tell, were just as valuable as those of a more “important” job, like doctor or architect.

I myself remember him regularly narrating the Marvel cartoons I grew up with, knowing him as Stan “The Man”. I had the chance to meet him at a comic con here in Spokane a few years back, but with the price, I unfortunately couldn’t do it, which I now deeply regret.

Thank you for the amazing things you made. We’ll see you on the other side.

Has anyone done a Stan Lee stat block as a tribute?

Funny you should mention that. Keep your eyes open…
